Due to a shortage of National Bangers booking in for the Halloween
Spooktacular meeting at Foxhall Stadium on Saturday 31st October,
Spedeworth have added Stock Rods to the Fixture. Drivers need to book in
via the Southern Office for this meeting on 01252 322920.
Important Steering hub arms please read.
It
has come to our attention that people are heating and bending the steering
hub arms and re- bolting them.
This is illegal and if caught you will be banned.

As featured on the Spedeworth web site..... Clarification on Rolling Thunder Any driver wishing to race at the Rolling Thunder Show may do so but must book in through the Spedeworth Office. Form then on, however, you would forfeit all complimentary tickets and prize money indefinitely. If you are found to be racing at RTS without permission you will be subject to a 6 month ORCi ban.
Stolen
Ballymena Raceway driver Davy Evans Jnr. has been in touch with the disturbing news that his Vauxhall Corsa Stock Rod and car trailer were both stolen from the family home in Templepatrick on Sunday evening (June 14). Anyone offered a Vauxhall Corsa Stock Rod or trailer or even Vauxhall parts for sale should be alert to the possible source of these items.

lee Nichols here .has written in saying about the stock rod photos he is
selling on e bay with over 5000 stock rod pictures in total . his user
name on eBay is picks129 (believe it or not ) plenty of old pictures

We have been asked by Deane Woods to inform all Spedeworth
Stock Rod drivers that qualification for all major meetings will be on
points and meetings attended for 2009 {not just points alone}
Announcement from Spedeworth:
Spedeworth have noticed the significant drop in numbers of Stock Rods and Lightning Rods at meetings recently and feel that we must do something. We would like suggestions on whether the formulas need to be made cheaper and in what ways this can be accomplished. The trend of low numbers is not only affecting Spedeworth meetings but those at Incarace and Stock Rods at Autospeed etc too and we are afraid to say that they are simply no longer putting on a show. We would like suggestions from drivers using their real names and race numbers (as opposed to hiding behind fake names) before we have to make our own decisions. We would also appreciate any suggestions from fans too as Spedeworth value your opinion highly too. Come on drivers lets get them cars out ! want your say go to the forum as Spedeworth don't know why cars are not out there. All of us have spent time and money on our Stock Rods ....Do we need rule changes (don't think so) If the nubers keep dropping Stock Rod may be dropped from all major events.
Stock Rod World Final (Ballymena August 22nd & 23rd) The top 7 Spedeworth drivers from Points Chart 7 who attend this event will be eligible for the Stock Rod World Final event. A couple of reserves will also be invited - these will also be accepted in points chart order from Points Chart 7 which will be released this week. Any driver wishing to take part is advised to call the Spedeworth office on 01252 322920. The cut off date for bookings for this event will be 4pm on Friday August 15th. No bookings will be accepted after this time. The top 2 drivers from the points will also be assisted with their travel money Bill Daly's New Stock Rod
