What is ChatSS
- Informal friendly group.
- Supporting
parents of babies, toddlers and school age children with Additional and
Special Needs, both in Mainstream and Special schools.
- Sharing information &
exchanging ideas.
- Raising awareness of the needs
of children &
families.
CHIPS “Mother and Toddler Group” and
“Children at School Support group” have
now merged under the name ChatSS. The CHIPS playschemes are
limited to families of children with SEN living in the
East Herts
District Council or Broxbourne areas. However, as a parent
or carer of
children with Additional or Special Needs you would be very
welcome to join us even if you live outside the CHIPS catchment area -
yes, everyone is welcome!
Children are also welcome - our creche is staffed
by experienced volunteers. There is no
pressure to attend regularly or even stay for the whole session - we
know that your free time can be limited and unpredictable! We
have speakers at most meetings- these can be informative, or just for
fun (
current programme)-
but
there is always time for a chat and some refreshments.
