What's unlocking?

A Service Provider (SP) lock is used ensure that your mobile phone will only work on one single network, usually the handset provider (Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin, O2 or 3). If your mobile phone is locked, it will not accept any other network sim card. Unlocking is the process of removing the Service Provider Lock, allowing you to use any network sim card within your mobile phone.
