Revenue and Customs Winter Sports Weekend

Some players from the London Beamers Netball club took part in the Revenue and Customs Winter Sports Weekend, which took place from 30th March to 1st April 2007.

The team entered this competition initially with seven players and at the last minute one player had to drop out due to personal circumstances.

We also had injuries amongst the team, one team member with two sprain ankles and the other with a pulled muscle in the leg.

Although there were doubts amongst us as to how well we would perform, we were able to win Runner Ups in the Plate competition and most importantly we won the BEST DEFENCE award and received a shield.

We were the team that let in the least amount of goals. It was a surprise to have achieved this award given these circumstances of having injured players.
