The wind turbine was set up on the edge of camp where a good breeze from the valley kept it running most of the time. This charged the batteries used for the stage and kitchen. Mohan also had a mobile phone charging setup.

Mohan has been with the camps for many years and his idea was to keep the power side of things small and inexpensive as possible. With this in mind he brought the turbine and solar panel to the camp and supplied the power needs of the camp. His interest in alternative energy has led him to build his own turbine and he has done a lot of research on wind and solar energy. If any one is interested in finding out more about alternative energy there is loads of information on the net. There is some information below along with Mohan’s email address.
