Mick
GRIMSBY LIVES COORDINATOR
"I saw the advert in the Telegraph six years ago and thought it was a great idea - an excellent way of helping people and assisting an already busy ambulance service. I enjoy the thought of being able to help and hopefully promote the recovery of sick patients and working with and assisting the Grimsby ambulance crews we meet on call-outs. I became Coordinator about four years ago and I've also done an Instructional Methods Training Course, as well as the IHCD (first person on scene) course endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. As well as been Coordinator I am the group's trainer "

"I saw how much enjoyment and satisfaction Mick the Grimsby Coordinator got from call outs which got me interested. So I did the training course and we respond to call outs together. It gives me another string to my bow, a very worthwhile interest.
I enjoy the call-outs and helping to possibly save someone's life and my kids are very proud of me."

" I've been a LIVES Responder for 4 years I joined the group after reading about LIVES in the paper. I thought I could put my spare time to good use by helping save lives.
I enjoy the buzz you get from going out on call. One minute you can be decorating your home and the next minute the LIVES mobile phone has rung and you are on your way to help someone who dialled 999. You get immense satisfaction from knowing you are making a difference in the community and maybe save a life."
" I want to help my local group in someway, becoming a volunteer fundraiser was the perfect answer. The group relies entirely on fundraising and donations from the local community to keep it running with all the correct equipment.
After been the fundraiser for over a year I decided to trainer as a First Responder."
