Now we'll line up the two images.
In the Layers palette, check that the top layer is the active
layer.

- Click on the Opacity slider at the top of the Layers palette,
and pull it down to about 50% (you don't have to be exact.)
The top layer (the image you dragged across) will become transparent.
- Use the Magnifier to zoom in to the image. Go back to the
Move tool.

- Find a distinctive detail in the band where the two images
overlap. Drag the top layer around until the detail in the top
layer exactly overlaps the same detail in the bottom layer.
- If he top layer is skewed relative to the bottom layer, go
to the Image menu, pick Rotate Canvas, then Arbitrary from the
pull-down menu. Use increments of 0.2 degrees till the two layers
line up. A tiny amount of skewing will not show when the file
is stitched.
- When the alignment is as good as you can get it, re-adjust
the Opacity slider in the Layers palette to 100%.

- From the Layers menu, pick Flatten Image.
- Save the file.
