Scanning Outlines for Colouring: Altering the Page Size

Now we'll make one of the files big enough to accommodate the other.

Make sure the background colour (at the bottom of the Toolbar) is white.

Click on the file that contains the top part of the image.
In the Image menu, pick Canvas Size...

The Canvas Size dialog box as it first appears. Double the height value, and click the top box so that new canvas is created at the bottom of the image.

Double the figure for the height of the canvas, and add 1cm to give yourself working space.
Click the topmost of the grid of nine boxes. The directional arrows will show that the new additional canvas will be added to the bottom of the file downwards. Click OK.

Extra space will appear at the bottom of the file.
