Stitching

Once you've scanned both sections of the artwork, you should have the two files open in Photoshop. Make copies of each so you can go back if there's a problem.

First, we'll convert the files to greyscale, so we can take advantage of layers (which don't work in Bitmap mode).

For each file:

• In the Image menu, pick Mode, then Greyscale from the drop-down list.
• A dialog box appears, offering you Size Ratio:1. Click OK.

The file size will shoot up.

• In the Image menu, pick Image Size...
• The Image Size dialog box will appear. Adjust the resolution to 300. Click OK.

The file size will drop again.
