Halyard Village: West Square(#93069RJA)
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Halyard Village ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Surrounded on most sides by short, squat buildings, none any higher than two
levels, the main square of this small, sea-side village is covered in a fine
layer of dirt, which mostly covers the old cobble stone beneath. Many of the
buildings lining the square are homes, though some are places of business -
and, of course, there are the obligatory pubs. However, pubs are not the only
staple of a small village, especially not this one. Scattered here and there
upon sidewalks and in front of stores, various fishing nets and traps lie
about, most considerably worse for wear. It's obviously a fishing village.
Beyond that, a dirt road runs north and south from the square, with a small
scattering of homes, and behind these, a backdrop of trees. Meanwhile, beyond
the trees lies the shore.

Rothal shakes his head.  "Once again, calm down, Raph.  h'I'm fine.  Besides, h'I've a notorious ability to keep alive."  His gaze falls on the other buck's arm.  "Yah should have stayed out, though.  Hard to fight when yah arm h'is hurt."

Zeraph smirks a little, ears turned back against his skull. "But I didn't get hurt again, did I?" The hare sighs deeply, looking downward with a scowl. "Besides, when I'm injured, sometimes it makes me fight harder." The corner of the buck's mouth twitches a little. "I was worried when you got hit with that dagger." He growls out.

Ral lounges in some deep shadows pretty sure being found would not be in his best interests at the moment

Rothal grimaces.  "Yeah, the dagger thing did get a little out of control, but h'if h'I hadn't been there, they'd of been carryin' yah back to Sala.  Guess we both owe each other, then."

Zeraph laughs at this one, and slowly begins to nod, then goes to sit down beside the runner, heaving another sigh. "Aye, I guess so." The hare leans forward, resting his elbows on his legs.

Ral moves a tiny bit back as the shadows have managed to recede to the point where if someone looked very carefully he would be visible

Rothal chuckles.  "See?  An' h'I have an awful time dying, no matter how bad h'I'm hurt.  So h'I don't have a whole lot to worry about."  He crosses his arms, nodding.  "Though h'I do need to find Keita sooner or later, an' give her that money from the tax office.."

Moving through the street, the major is still thinking on the events that had happened, a slightly confused look on his face and tiny bit of worry.  Nodding to those that he passes, he puts on a positive mask but it clears when he knows no one is looking at him.

Zeraph brushes one of his ears backward and pulls the flask out of his pocket again, with a shake of his head. The buck begins to drink down some of the beverage within, then lowers it from his mouth, glancing toward the major as he wanders through. The fighter squints a little, then looks over to Rothal.

Rothal turns, attention was attracted by Raph's drinking, and he hasn't noticed the major as of yet.  "Raph, don't be drinkin' while we're out on patrol, with all these vermin around.  What's the matter with yah?  Aren't yah thinkin' right?"

Ral watches carefully not making much movement nor sound

Zeraph squints a little, in confusion. "What do you mean?" The buck lifts one ear back up. Ahh..the picture of bewilderment. He looks down at the flask, then shakes his head. "This isn't the one.." The fighter states, then goes to offer some to the runner.

Jarril stopping somewhere, he goes and leans against the wall, thoughtful look on his face while keeping his arms crossed over his chest.

Rothal shakes his head, pushing the flask away from him.  "h'If we were back at the mountain, h'I would.  Not here, though."  His gaze moves to the major, now puzzled by his odd behavior.

Jarril looks about, seeing hares doing their thing while thinking on the discussion and events that happened during the fight, most of it that is known by him and his opponent only.  Coughing he looks about as if noticing the other two talking.  "Oh, hello."  Giving a smile.

Zeraph sighs a little and pours some out onto his paw, to show him that he's filled it up with water instead of alcohol now that he has been put back on duty. The buck is distracted once more by Jarril though, holding his paw cupped full of water, the other one still grasping the flask.

Rothal hasn't noticed that Raph has filled the flask with water, as he is still wondering at the major's behavior, watching him intently.  "Afternoon, majah."

Ral hears the word majah and wonders if it may be a good idea to present himself...

Jarril nods his head.  "Afternoon Roth."  Looking at Zeraph.  "Drinking eh?"

Zeraph half smiles at the officer, with a nod, water slipping through his fingers to the ground, then he holds the flask out. "Need some, sir?" He questions.

Rothal slips back into silence, watching the others talk.  His eyes scan Jarril's face, looking for any clue to the major's behavior.

Jarril nods.  "Don't mind if I do."  he takes the flask and then takes a big swig of the liquid.  "Thanks."  Handing it back.  "Glad ta see ya drinking water, Zeraph."

Zeraph smirks a little, taking the flask back as he observes him, just like Roth. He rests his arm on his leg again. His ear flicks in Ral's direction though, as he moves closer, seeming to get a feeling.

Rothal continues to watch the major, though now he's trying to make it look like he isn't.  Jarril's behavior interests him, but not to the point where he would ask an officer what was going on.  Instead, his paw goes to the spot where his missing piece of ear used to be, hoping for a distraction of some sort.

Jarril looks at Rothal for a moment.  "Something on ya mind?"  He leans against a large barrel standing in the street, staring at Rothal now.

Rothal shakes his head.  "No, sah.  Nothin' at all.  h'I was just thinkin' and wonderin' which of the vermin went and cut mah ear off."  It's a lame excuse, but he's heard worse.

Ral stops moving when he sees the ear-flick not wanting to be really noticed till he is ready.

Hmm..Zeraph's nose flicks slightly, maybe scenting the air, or just thinking, then his attention returns to Jarril and Roth, wiping his wet paw off on his pant leg.

Jarril nods his head.  "Ah, okay."  He goes back to just leaning quietly against the barrel.

Rothal leans back, glad he didn't get in any trouble with the major for being nosey.

Ral starts to slowly move again making very little sound

Zeraph bobs back and forth in a idly bored fashion, ears leaned back again. The buck glances sideways at the runner beside him.

Ral stands at the edge of where he can still hide in the shadows trying to think up how to show himself.

Jarril turns his head slightly and shrugs his shoulders turning to face Zeraph again.  "Okay, who's that trying to sneak about at this moment?"

Zeraph shrugs a little at the question. "I'm not so sure, sir.." He goes to stand up now, not directly looking in Ral's direction.

Out of the shadows comes Ral though it is cautious movements not wanting to get himself skewered

Jarril blinks as he looks at Ral.  "And who are you?  Not seen you about?"

Zeraph hasn't seen the other buck before either, so he gazes at him curiously, eyes narrowing slightly.

Ral moves a bit further away from the shadows saying "I am Ral Harluna, some call me Shadow"

Jarril nods his head.  "And, what about it?"

Ral stops moving "What about what?" He asks

Zeraph cocks his head to the side a little, observing the situation in silence.

Jarril sighs.  "Okay, maybe that wasn't the best thing to say.  I start again.  What do you want?"

Ral says, "I was told that a majah was here, I recently arrived at the mountain and thought 't may be a good idea t' talk t' one of th' leaders."

Jarril nods slowly.  "About what?"

Ral says, "I would like t' join th' patrol Sir"

Zeraph goes to sit back down on the bench.

Jarril nods.  "Ah, I see.  Well, I can't do anything about it here.  Mostly someone at the mountain will be able ta help ya at this time."

Jarril thinks.  "See a colonel or another majah."

Jarril gets up.  "Anyways I need to get going.  Things ta do and all.  I bid ya all farewell for now."  He moves off.
