Ahh.. it's the archery range. And what is Zoe doing here? Well, obviously, the boxing chamber is full, so as a fall-back plan, she's come to check on the silly archery folks. Indeed. With an absent perusal of those present, the Colonel's attention snags on Jarril amongst a rather fresh group of recruits, all young, and apparently he's teaching them how to.. hold their bows without snapping their fingers off? Blink-blink. They do not appear very astute at it. Give her strength.
Jarril shakes his head and points to one of the young leverets to go up on their turn to take a try at shooting at one of the near targets. "Now, make sure ya take notice of my advice. Aim properly with one eye." The major continues on and watches as the arrow flies but misses the target. Wrapping his ears about slightly, he takes a deep breath. "No, no, no." Moving up to where the buck was he begins to moves the arms of the hare until it's in the right position. "Now, lad. Look down the shaft and aim. Keep the arm in that position and let go when ready." This time the arrow hits the target but not in the middle. Patting the hare's back, the major smiles. "Right, now practise in that position, wot."
Smirk. Zoe pushes off of the doorframe and steps into the room, making her way idly over towards where Jarril is training the recruits. Ahh, such fresh little hares. Almost makes you want to kick them out now so that they don't come upon an opportunity to die in battle. Almost. She leans against the wall, arms crossed over her chest, as she watches with grim amusement.
One of the young bucks turns to another and whispers something before
giggling slightly. Jarril turns his head to the two and rolls his
eyes. "Anything the matter?" Looking at the two who blink in
surprise. "Erm, no sah. We were just wondering if you can still
shoot what with your injury and all?" Ah, the young, such little
bundles of joy. "Right." The major says. "Ya lot, follow
me." Walking over to the main archery range, the hare picks up a
bow and some arrows, but being too busy, he hasn't noticed the colonel
in the room.
