Jarril comes padding through the path, looking about while catching fresh air in a safe enviroment.

Well, here's a good place to hide out. Or so she thought. Sitting on a stool amongst a patch of berries of no distinct taste, Lain sighs quietly to herself, looking off to the side. Her back hunched over as she silently spins a leaf in her paw, her footpaws gripping the uneven rungs, her ears twitch slightly at the sound of a beast approaching.

Jarril doesn't say anything as he stops and sits on a rock and looks out over the view in front of him.

Well, for her own part, Zoe's wandering out here to give herself a change of pace, and some fresh air. A tiny leveret rests over her shoulder, and she rubs its back soothingly every now and again; apparently, it's asleep.

Looking up abruptly at the sound of yet another beast approaching, Lain frowns quietly to herself, slowly slipping off the stool with cautiousness. Uprooting it off the soft soil left for the worms of Autumn, she slowly limps towards somewhere else. Or really, where she can be alone, using the stool as support in her frequent pauses.

Jarril keeps to himself, looking around and taking off his eyepatch to leave the horrible scar left underneath and to let the sea air get to it, something that has helped over the past couple of weeks.

Pausing to look around the garden, noting the remainder of late-season crops that have yet to be harvested, Zoe's eyes catch upon Jarril and the retreating Lain, at which point she kind of winces - yes, she has been avoiding the young hare somewhat - but before she can decide to do anything, the small baby stirs somewhat and voices a small cry of protest.. at something, anyway. Zoe sighs softly and looks down at the little thing, and returns to patting her back. "Shh, sh..."

Jarril ears prick but he doesn't turn around to look at the source of the noise.  Instead he looks at his eyepatch and smiles.  Muttering to himself before looking up again.

Ah, what the heck. She's probably busy with the tyke anyway. Inwardly shrugging off her recent avoidance, she bites her lip as she continues to move across the terrace and towards the path, all the while, avoiding Zoe. Bah...the Colonel's got more things to worry about than can fit in her head.

The Colonel's got more things to worry about than can fit in her head, but all the same. "Uh! Lain?" She coughs lightly, and then returns to patting the restless babe's back.

Jarril slips on his eye patch again and gets up.  Taking a look around, the major blinks and turns to the path again.  Slipping away without being notice, Jarril has changed over the past couple of weeks.  Keeping to business and keeping himself to himself.  Rounding the corner, the major vanishes from view.
