Salamandastron: Infirmary
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
This is the infirmary for the long patrol. This room is one of
the most
well lit rooms in the whole of Salamandastron, with several candles
placed
strategically along the shelves and cupboards. Many wooden beds
line the
walls of this room, each outfitted with impeccably clean white linen
sheets. This unfortunately limits the walking space in this room.
Where
there are not beds there are shelves and cabinets that hold a variety
of
different medical equipment, mostly needles and bandages. A single
stone
sink is firmly lodged into one of the counters. The sink is not
fancy, in
fact it is quite awkward. It is a necessity, nonetheless. An
open closet
is in the corner of the room, storing a surplus of compact cots, in
the
unusual case of mass injuries. The room usually has several nurse hares
in
it, roaming around tending to various injuries.

[Out] to Level Three
[Herb] Room
Jarril slowly enters from the hallway outside, letting in the noise of other hares moving about to and for in the corridor and closes the door behind him. Giving a slight nod to one of the other hares as he walks past, he looks about at the various cots with some concern on his facial features before spotting where the fox is actually lying. Pausing in his movements, he strokes his chin for a moment in thought and turns to the hare on duty in the room. "So, how is our guest?"
Throwing her arms up in frustration the harenurse storms from the room, shouting out behind her. "He's as well and good enough to snap and growl at me when I'm tryin' t'elp! Tarnation if I've ever known a more stubborn beast may the fates strike me dead." The door to the Herb Room slams, and Rangnar can't help himself but laugh quietly. "Silly hare... I don't want a paw I don't know to be put near me..." He'd lost his accent for the time being, his concentration keeping him from slipping into his normal Highland brogue. Golden eyes look up to Jarril and narrow, "What do you want?"
Jarril looks back to where the harenurse storms out and shakes his head. Turning his head back as he catches the voice of the fox, he smiles back before replying as he puts his arms about his chest. "Well, aren't we in the bally mood ta demand questions after we brought ya in from the cold and all." He cocks a ear up slightly and continues. "Wanted ta know how our guest was and why ya were near the mountain, doncha know."
"My fiancee is a good friend to Lord Bludstripe, I came here looking for her, and collapsed nearby. I'm fine and will be our of your fur in a few days." Ragnar answers curtly, trying to look as uninjured as possible with large parts of his body swathed in bandages. "I'm not ungrateful, just untrustful. Hares don't take well to foxxes, especially halfbreeds like myself. You understand I hope?"
Jarril placing a paw on his chin as he thinks of the reply. "Not at all old chap but it doesn't go ta well if ya not willing for help and all." Moving his paw back again to it's previous position. "So have ya seen lord brocktree then?" He looks again to the door, some thoughts in his head as he turns back to face the fox, making a point to check this up with the badger himself later.

Rangnar shakes his head, "I'm not friends with Lord Bludstripe. SaberRose has spoken to him... Shes actually asleep over there. She won't leave my side..." The dogfox motions to the far side of the room, and sighs happily as he watches her snore quietly. He blinks a few times, shaking his head to bring himself back to the present, returning his eyes to Jarril. "I want to leave as soon as possible... I refuse to be a burden to friends."
Jarril replies back. "Pish posh. It's not like it's bally well good weather out there, doncha know. However, please don't go snapping or growling at any other hares that are trying ta help ya, wot." He frowns and isn't exactly sure on why, no he does know why but doesn't mean he has to like it. Looking to the door again and wondering where the hot headed healer will be coming back he turns his head to the front again. "Besides I don't want ta find ya on the ground again from another patrol if ya not well enough ta leave." He pauses for a moment again and lets his whiskers twitch slightly. "So how far have ya travelled?"
"I started in Fraterin, went down to Redwall, and swung westwards to here." Comes Rangnars reply, as he sits up in his bed, tearing the banadage from his head and casting it asside. "I'm well enough to leave now. Once she awakens we'll be gone. I'll never darken your mountain's slopes again." He smiles slightly, almost begrudgingly. "Thank you for your care, generosity, and kindness."
Jarril sighs slightly. "If that is ta be ya wish, then I won't
stop ya." He makes to move to the door. "I leave ya be."
He nods to another hare coming in and smiles before moving past, taking
one more look before leaving through the doorway, his face when facing
away from the fox showing some signs of concern.
