Auditions for Spring 2012 Productions


Auditions for Spring 2011 productions will be held on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th November, from 6-8 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. each day (i.e. 2 audition sessions per day). They will take place in the Alumni Meeting Rooms (Lower Students' Union).

The audition sign up sheets are on the LUTheatre board in the entrance to the ground floor of the Attenborough Building.

  • The Importance of Being Earnest - by Oscar Wilde
       

      1. Optional preparation: Think about why you think the play is called the Importance of being Earnest?

      2. Notes: Both male and female can audition for Lady Bracknell

  • Stand Up & Jump - by James Staynings
  •  
    • A new play from Proteus Manager, James Staynings - the script is still open to development: lots of opportunity to be part of the creative team working on bringing this exciting new piece in front of its first audience.

  • Romeo & Juliet - by William Shakespeare
  •  
    • The third of LUTheatre's contributions to the Royal Shakespeare Company's Open Stages project.

    • This will be a co-production with De Montfort University Theatre -
      in which the rival Unis will be mirrored in the rivalry between the
      Cap-UL-ets and MONT-agues...
