I did have a video interview and other things to share, I managed to delete them by mistake, I am taking measures to recover those files and Sandra will be keeping me updated on what is happening. I hope to visit the place again in a few months, perhaps, to see what we can do.

September 2010: I have been following the news on Facebook in utter amazement at the network of animal lovers in Croatia and what they have been doing.
This week a dog, latterly named Hope was thrown into a ravine some 70m deep. A rescue effort was launched after appeals on facebook; vets, shepherds and others joined in the search, eventually hope was located and brought back up. Every week I am reading astonishing stories of dogs being rescued, found, re-housed. and the pictures in the library of kittens, dogs, puppies just grows. I have read of so much good work going on here. A box of kittens left on the side of the road, a seeming endless stream of puppies.

This is a story about a young Doberman called FROJD. He is 9 months old. A man from a village near Dubrovnik told me [Sandra]: "I have not time for dog, if you don't take him I will kill him with gun." (he is hunter) . Frojd is ill he has a skin complaint called demodicosis. Chance of him surviving is small but I don't want to give up, I want to do everything to save Frojd. Please, everyone, cross your fingers. |
