Cranfield
University
Cranfield University in southern England is a recognised centre of excellence in
the teaching of Air Transport Management. Louis worked for Cranfield full-time
as a Senior Lecturer from March 2001 to December 2003.
Course
Director
At Cranfield, Louis
was the Course Director responsible for running their Executive MSc in Air
Transport Management. This part-time programme was designed for managers already
working in the air transport industry seeking to improve their qualifications.
Louis was able to empathise with the part-time students on this programme since
it mirrored his own development – while working for British Airways he was
sponsored to study part-time for an MBA from Lancaster University. Louis
understands well the pressures on people in the real world studying part-time
for a higher degree while holding down a demanding full-time job.
School
of Engineering: Air Transport Group
In Cranfield’s Air Transport Group, Louis was also the Module Coordinator
for their Analytical Skills for Air Transport Managers Module, running their
teaching programmes in Statistics, Operations Research and Forecasting.
Cranfield
Management
School: MBA programme
On Cranfield’s MBA programme, Louis also served as a lecturer in Revenue
Management.
Visiting
Lecturer
Now continuing his association with Cranfield University on a consulting
basis as a visiting lecturer, Louis continues to teach Statistics, Operations
Research, Forecasting and Revenue Management to both full-time students and part-time
students in both the School of Engineering and the Management School.
