Search for a ‘True EU QP’ – How is it done?
The page returned when you search
for ‘True EU QP’ is not part of the Google site; I got the idea from an e-mail
that was sent to me by another QP which instructed you to ‘Find Chuck Norris’
using Google.
If you haven’t seen it:
Having looked into the response I
discovered that it was an example of Viral Marketing by Arran Schlosberg and had obviously worked well to be passed
around so much; he wrote a non-technical white paper from a marketing
perspective.
Clearly the rest was simple, create a website, employ the
‘Google bombing’ technique and then pass the instructions to a few well placed people
in the industry. The fact that you are reading this is testament to the
technique and the people who thought this was funny or clever enough to be
passed on…
