Links to a diverse list of sources which have inspired TGWNN over the years, including some other popular productions you may be interested in sampling.

Grimm Tales
Thursday Night Entertainment's other production team, Grimm Tales, have produced a number of epic features over the last few years. Graphically and stylistically similar, Grimm Tales is inspired by similar gothic horror roots.

League of Crimson
Supernatural investigations in the age of Queen Victoria, followed by the next generation in the 1920's. Featuring many of the same cast.

Nine Inch Nails
The unofficial soundtrack to TGWNN. Other artists have been featured, but none provide the stark industrial bleakness and downright creepyness of Trent Reznor.

Deviant Art
An excellent source of artwork to capture the dark side of TGWNN.

Sean OBoyle
A fantastic goldmine of shattered ruins, asylums, industrial sites and urban wastes.

Urban adventures
This and many other sites dedicated to exploring the lost underworld of modern cities.

Hellboy and Hellboy the Movie
There are numerous WWII and supernatural sources to choose from, but no one mixes Nazi Occultism and demons from Hell with such style.

Alias
Spies, disguises, multi-layered plots, double crosses. What more could you ask for ?

Buffy
The original in supernatural ass kicking form Joss the master.

Angel
The Buffy spinoff series which surpassed the original for both tension and humour. I'd like to quote Firefly as an inspiration as well, but it would just be lying...

Ravenloft
The Daddy of roleplaying horror. Ravenloft opened our eyes to a different approach to gaming. And the astute amongst you may notice some recycled names.

World of Darkness
The next generation from Ravenloft, the World of Darkness taught us how to really take the piss out of Goths.

Ars Magica
Generation spanning, epic medieval magi plotting each other's dooms. Now what would that look like 500 years on ?

Underworld and Underworld Evolution
Slated by the critics, but a wonderful TGWNN mix of vampires, werewolves and Eastern Europe.

Blade
No one kills vampires quite like Blade.

Neil Gaimain
Literary God.

30 days of Night
Thirty Days of Night and it's follow ons portray vampires as savage, bloody murderers who need to be killed. No angst and opera capes here. Great.

Clive Barker
If you can ignore the gay fiction overtones, Clive Barker produces some awesome, dark tales of hidden worlds and alternate realities.

Uriah Heap
Egor, the owner of the Vizuina Rosu, has both types of music in his bar. Rock AND Heavy Metal. But "The Heap" are by far his favouite.
