The feature length pilot episode in which four friends become embroiled in a sinister supernatural plot in a remote part of Romania.

With only one of the pilot cast still present, season one began on the shadowy streets of London, before taking our three heroes (only Russell, Casey and Wei Lin were featured characters at that time) on a road trip through Eurpoe. Ending in Vienna with Casey's kidnap at the hands of Scriptorium, this premier season established TGWNN as a household name and laid the foundations for a bigger budget return.

Following the cliffhanger ending of Season One, Season Two kicked off with two new additions to the cast (Marcus and Carl, both featured in the pilot episode, both played by different actors). With a high octane prelude, TGWNN started as it meant ot continue. Arms deals in St.Petersburg, the Catacombs of Vienna, gothic Romanian castles and Werewolf haunted villages provided a vivid backdrop for the ever expanding plot. The Season Finale, "Morlock", featured the first taste of the now well accepted flashback approach to story-telling, flicking from modern day to tell the gory, gothic tale of Sir John Morlock's ill fated 1862 Vampire hunt in Barovia.

In an unexpected and sensational change in direction, the cast of TGWNN appeared in what initially appeared to be a tale of World War Two espionage. Both fans and critics alike were initially sceptical, but were soon shocked into silence to discover that far from being a historical drama, Operation:Graben was infact a carefully interwoven tale of vampiric horror, nazi experimentation and dark occultism which underpinned the forthcomming Season Three of TGWNN.

In another innovative turn, Season Three kicked off with a sequence of focused individual episodes. Each episode focused on a single character, adding a previously unseen depth as we watch Marcus descend into Lycanthropy, Casey confront her past in Japan and Carl come face to face with the enigmatic Guru Ravi Sinda.

With a return to it's Season One roots, Season Three flirted with social commentary with an initial plot arc concerning institutional racism within the Police and the insiduous rise of Oliver Fletcher-Greeves. Set against the backdrop of the growing immigration crisis, TGWNN inserted a horrific blend of Nazi Ubermensch, dirty cops and car chases through the streets of London before reaching a climax with the raid on the Thule Gesselschaft headquarters in Schloss Veldenstein.

In a second pseudo-historical twist, the feature length Season Three Finale, The Touch of Death, paid homage to both the Indiana Jones series and the Mummy in The Touch of Death. Set in pre-war Egypt, a second backstory delved into the motives of the shadowy Thule cult and their dealings at Graben Island and succeeded in posing even more questions than it answered.

With an imminent release date for the epic From the Shadows agreed, a second series of individually focused, character heavy episodes paved the way and build audiance anticipation. Russell's Descent into Darkness was portrayed in shocking, post watershed tension while Wei Lin and Carl travelled the Orient and closer to home, Casey was forced to murder an old friend.

The epic From the Shadows saw yet more generation spanning depth as Sir John Morlock's tale of betrayal at the hands of Harkon Luca paralelled the modern tale of war between the Moon Clan and the Mishkarevska. The finale, in which Casey's Uncle came within a sentance of revealing his true identity, has tormented fans, leading to a hotly anticipated Season Four.

With a dramatic opening set in the jungles of Cambodia during the Vietnam war, the story moves quickly from the resting place of the Jade Eye back to London, where Whitehead continues his sinister plans and the door to the MI-X bunker remains firmly locked.

After a disrupted season four, The Game With No Name returns this summer, heralding the Beginning of the End.
