How it all started...

The Game With No Name has been running as a tabletop game for a number of years now. The whole thing has been run in a very episodic manner, paying homage to Buffy, Angel, Dark Angel, Alias and other such TV series. Each of the characters even has a “Who would play them in the series” actor.

The setting is a mixture of the old AD&D Ravenloft setting, World of Darkness, Ars Magica and a number of things in between. You may recognise a number of names if you are an old AD&D player. The overall feel is that there is a hidden supernatural world that most people don’t even know about, in fact people even actively edit things out of their memories which don’t seem to fit into a modern world. But there are slim cracks in reality, and once you are awakened to it there is no going back.

There are five heroes, each of which gets roughly equal screen time and each of which has some degree of mastery over the supernatural in their own distinct way. There are also a number of supporting characters who the main characters trust (to varying degrees) and of course enemies who the main characters hate and fear (to varying degrees).

The overall plot is moving the characters inevitably towards the climactic conclusion to an epic conspiracy which has spanned centuries. From ancient Egyptian prophecies to a coven of Mediaeval wizards, through Nazi cultists to “Evil Kung Fu Dwarves”(ask Nick), soon everything will fall into place.

But until then…
