ALYSSA
SHOWS OFF HER CHARMS
ADDED: 13.10.02
Alyssa
is featured on the cover of the November issue of the US edition
of FHM (shown right).
Inside,
there's the usual scantily-clad photoshoot, which can also be
seen on the FHM website (along
with some Alyssa wallpapers) and "interview":
The
innocent girl you lusted after as a pie-faced teen is all grown
up. And she has the rocking body to prove it.
What's
the best way to say hello?
Eye
contact and then a hug to make a connection.
Is
it true that prior to a sexy photo shoot such as this one, you
go without carbs for days?
Yeah,
I definitely prepare, because so much of doing sexy images is
about feeling good. If I were to pig out on Burger King beforehand,
I wouldn't feel as comfortable in skimpy clothes.
Any
other sexy tricks?
I
bring my publicist. I call her the photo-shoot nazi because
she's the one who's always staring at my crotch to make sure
nothing's showing. And no nipple.
What's
the best tabloid bit you've ever seen about yourself?
There
was a picture where I was walking out of the supermarket with
a huge family pack of toilet paper. I was a mess and in sweats.
Did
they write that you had explosive "stuff"?
No.
When
is it OK to call a guy a bitch?
The
last time I was in Vegas, I kept calling the poker dealer my
bitch. When I was losing, I call him a bitch.
FHM
understand you have a problem with math. Does that make cards
difficult for you?
I
do have trouble with math. Sometimes I'm quick as a whip, but
other times, no.
But
you have a photographic memory. Can you remember how you completed
this sentence the last time you were on FHM's
cover nearly two years ago? "You can look at a naked body
and to me there's something very natural and beautiful. That's
why I ..."
Garden
topless!
Good
work. Fill in the blank: For God's sake, please:
Have
more compassion. My eyelashes are sticking together and my eyebrows
are sweating. It's like 95 degrees out here.
Describe
the underwear you're wearing.
I'm
not wearing any. Hot day.
Are
you a Republican?
No,
but I want whoever is running our country to succeed. Every
time I hear Bush speak, I'm like, "Oh, just get through
this sentence, get through it." And it's like, "Whew!"
How
patriotic of you. What's the most embarrassing thing in your
purse right now?
Want
to look? I'll dump it out. Advil, Bayer Aspirin - my mom bought
it for me because she read it can prevent lulng cancer - chequebook,
wallet, lighter, a pen that doesn't work, cell phone, empty
pack of gum, two-way pager, compact, eyeliner, lipstick - I
have so much lipstick it's frightening, because you never know
what to wear - a gift certificate to a spa in Santa Barbara
and a flower for my hair if I feel inspired. But nothing embarrassing.
I'm looking for a tampon or something.
What
number cheque are you on?
3673.
That's pretty good, huh?
Big
spender. Would you let Courtney Love spank you?
Absolutely
not. She terrifies me. I'm so afraid of that woman.
What's
your favourite cliché?
"Everything
happens for a reason."
You
once said, "I forgive myself for a lot of things."
Is that a way of acting immoral and forgiving yourself after
the fact? For things like tattoos and one-night stands?
No.
My intentions are always good. I have always had such strong
morals. I make immoral mistakes, but they all come from a good
place.
Do
you ever get sick of people talking about your chest?
Do
people talk about my tits?
Absolutely.
I
didn't know, but I guess I can't get tired if I'm not hearing
about it.
Then
do you get sick of hearing tired Tony Danza talking about you
every time a camera is on him?
Yeah,
I'm tired of it. God bless him, I love him madly, but yeah,
it's a bizarre thing. I usually get asked, "What's the
little boy from the show doing now?"
What's
the little boy from the show doing now? We hear he's tramping
around New York City's gay West Village.
I
think Danny Pintauro is living in New York. He came out of the
clost in The Enquirer years ago.
We
bust big news stories in the FHM
office.
Yeah,
you've got your finger on the pulse.
You
have 20 seconds to clarify one rumour about yourself.
What
rumours have you heard about me? I can guarantee that the Shannen
Doherty and I fighting thing wasn't really a fight, but there
was a lot of tension that came out of the clear blue sky as
far as I was concerned. I don't know what was going on in her
mind.
You
played Amy Fisher in the TV movie Casualties
of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story. When was the last
time you had sex with a guy with an Afro-mullet?
I
didn't even date guys with mullets in the '80s.
You
won a Spirit Award at Sundance in 1997 for your role in Hugo
Pool. Not to sound corny, but that's great, considering most
child stars burn out big time.
It
was very rewarding. As a child star, to be able to not only
make the crossover but to be recognised as an influential talent
in the indie film industry really turned my life around.
The
FHM
tape recorder malfunctioned. We were also discussing men's
magazine covers and how you badmouthed them a bit. Can you repeat
it please?
I
said America has a preconceived notion of someone with a size
36C. It was my way of saying that fact doesn't mean I'm not
intelligent.
And
FHM
said, "You're not a 36C" and you said -
Yes
I am! That part you remember, huh?
Clearly.
When
do you turn into a complete bitch?
When
I'm PMS-ing. Oh wait, girls don't poop and girls don't bleed.
What
was the name of the last porn you watched?
The
Lover. It's
an art movie but it's very sexy.
What's
your favourite body part?
My
back, because it's muscular and I don't have to see it every
day.
As
Eva Savelot, you got to work with the greats like Carrot Top
-
He's
AT&T. I was WorldCom.
They're
in a bit of trouble. Do you still work for those shysters?
No.
Two years of doing those commercials was enough. When I signed
the deal, my business manager thought it mihgt be a good idea
to have stock in WorldCom. I decided to take the cash instead.

NIXES BOSS REUNION
ADDED: 13.09.02. SOURCE: TV
GUIDE
The
Cosby Show's
Lisa Bonet isn't the only '80s sitcom star shunning her TV roots.
Alyssa Milano reveals that she has no interest in reprising
her role as Tony Danza's precocious daughter Samantha for a
Who's the Boss? reunion movie.
"We've
talked about it, but I'm not doing it," the actress tells
TV Guide Online. "It was perfect for the eight years
we did it, and to relive it would...I think everyone would be
disappointed. I just decided that I didn't feel comfortable
doing it."
Milano
insists that even if the rest of Boss family agreed to
return - and let's face it, they probably would - she still
would not budge. "They could hire someone else to play
Sam," she says.
Or
they could lay the idea to rest - which they apparently did.
"There was never an actual project going," Milano
points out. "It was sort of [the producers] putting feelers
out to see if they could get everyone to do it."
In
other words, these days, Milano's the boss. BACK

SPLISH
SPLASH
ADDED: 09.09.02. SOURCE: TV
GUIDE
Here's
one surefire way to ensure that Charmed's young male
fans follow the WB drama to its new home on Sunday nights this
fall: Dress up series star Alyssa Milano as a sexy mermaid,
as producers did for the show's two-hour season premiere (22
September, 8-10pm ET).
"I
have on pasties and a fin," Milano tells TV Guide Online,
laughing. "I went for a wardrobe fitting and I was like,
'Where's the seashell top?' They were like, 'It doesn't look
good, so we're just going to add scales and paint them on your
boobies.'"
Not
that it makes much difference, but why exactly will Milano's
bewitching alter ego, Phoebe, be pulling a Daryl Hannah on viewers?
"Why does anything ever happen on Charmed?"
she muses, adding, "It's in order to find a sea hag...obviously."
No,
that's not a subtle dig at former co-star/nemesis Shannen Doherty.
But this may be: Milano says that she and Holly Marie Combs
have gelled "perfectly" with new sis Rose McGowan.
"We're having a great time. She's a great energy to have
around."
Even
the WB's decision to banish the cult fave to Sundays - historically
the WB's worst night ratings-wise - hasn't dampened the trio's
spirits. "Actually, I think its going to be good for us,"
Milano says of the move. "Sunday night is having a bit
of a rebirth with The Practice, Six Feet Under and Alias.
It's becoming a good night for television."
Here's
a suggestion to make it even better: Next time, outfit the actress
as a half-naked wood nymph. BACK

SHEER
PRESSURE
ADDED: 23.08.02. SOURCE: E!
ONLINE
Alyssa
Milano embraces all the season's trends at the "Picturing
a New South Africa" art exhibit in Los Angeles. She's very
of-the-moment in a flounced floral skirt, leather wristband,
turquoise choker and sheer chocolate shirt. Even her adorable
'70s shag is in step. But whassup with that "Grandma make
me wear this" clotted cream camisole? Somebody, please,
send this girl a Victoria's Secret catalogue. BACK

IN FHM POLL TOP 100
ADDED: 12.06.02
Once again, Alyssa was the only Charmed star to feature
in the UK edition of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll, with
a four place rise to number 53. FHM had this to say:
The
Brooklyn-raised babe Alyssa's best known for her TV appearances
in Melrose Place and spooky teenfest Charmed.
And brilliantly, she's not averse to posing for some very rude
pictures, either. Though she recently sued a naughty website
for publishing some on the sly. BACK

QUOTES
07.09.01
- A few comments from an otherwise spoilerish issue (the comments
about season 4 can be found here):
What
does it feel like to be on all those "most beautiful,"
"most sexy" lists?
If
they only knew that every night I go home and put on pimple
medicine and sleep in rubber ducky flannel pyjamas.
I
know you are becoming quite a golf fanatic, which would you
rather do: win an Emmy or hit a hole in one?
Hole
in one. Golf is much less political.
Your
career has been very multimedia with your television shows,
movies, music and Internet work, what does the future hold for
you?
I
have no idea! That's the beauty of life! Back

SOAP
STARS REVEAL CRUSHES
16.06.01
- Soap Opera Digest recently asked some US soap actors:
"who was your first celebrity crush/pin-up?"
Josh Duhamel (Leo, All My Children), Kiko Ellsworth (Jamal,
Port Charles) and Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip, Days
of Our Lives) all named Alyssa as theirs. Bad news
for them that she said recently, "to hear someone say,
'I have a poster of you in my bedroom' is a weird thing."

FHM
POLL RESULTS
19.05.01
- Alyssa was the only one of the Charmed girls to make
the Top 100 in this year's FHM Sexiest Women poll.
Although she finished 57th, this is a pretty reasonable performance
given the lower UK profile that both Alyssa and Charmed
have, and that any possible Charmed vote was split by
those of us who voted for Holly instead. Back

WHICH
CO-STAR?
01.05.01
- From yesterday's Wanda chat on E! Online:
Is
Alyssa dating Brian Krause or Julian McMahon?
Brian
Krause...and his wife split in December, and he has been dating
Alyssa for the past couple of months. They're apparently
adorable together, very cutesy-wutesy, but the whole thing has
deepened the divide between Alyssa and her onscreen siblings,
who've been turning yet another shade of green. Back

LADY
AND THE TRAMP II
20.02.2001
- The Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, which
features Alyssa as the voice of Angel and was Disney's first
sequel to one of its pre-1980s animated classics, has trampled
its way past The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea,
generating $50 million in consumer spending in its opening week.
More than 3 million of the 7 million videocassette and DVD copies
shipped to retailers were purchased in the first six days of
release, according to industry estimates, pushing the title
well past the 2.4 million units sold in the first week of release
last fall of The Little Mermaid II, which went on to
generate more than $120 million in consumer spending, according
to Daily Variety sister publication Video Business.Source:

THE
ART OF BEING...ALYSSA MILANO
18.01.2001
- From The WB's website:
First
rule of love - it hurts: "My first crush was this guy
in grammar school. I kissed him, and he punched me so
hard I had a black eye."
Five
words that describe me: "Compassionate, loyal, obsessive,
professional, driven."
Baby
talk: "Every time I decide I want to have a child,
I get another animal. I have two dogs, eight birds and
three horses. Does that tell you anything?"
Dream-date
M.O.: "As far as looks, I'm into the 'man-child' guy.
Like George Clooney, who looks much younger than he is and has
that boyish twinkle in his eye."
The
fame game: "I would rather people treat me like I'm
their cousin than have them treat me like some kind of alien."
My
first boyfriend: "It was Kirk Cameron. I was
13, and he was 14. He used to dedicate songs to me on
the radio, but I broke up with him. I just couldn't deal
with it."
On
the glam life: "When I get invitations to movie premieres,
I'm like, why bother? If I see a movie, I want to put
on my sweats and go and get popcorn. I just don't really
see the point of getting all dressed up to see a movie."

January/February issue of US FHM.
Despite
trying to shut down all those celebrity-porn websites Alyssa
tells the magazine, "You can look at a naked body, and
to me, there's something very natural and beautiful."
She
also reveals that she gardens topless - "I'll be in my
garden, you know, just being natural." A transcript

GOES BLONDE
4.9.2000
- Those who have seen the WB's trailer for Charmed's
forthcoming season will have noticed something different about
Alyssa Milano - her hair colour.
Alyssa
fan Ghosty posted this into the Charmed-UK list:
"[The]
highlights were put in by Leland Kent, her hairstylist extraordinaire,
for the mini-series Diamond Hunters and were kept in
for the filming of Charmed's season 3. She now
sports light brown hair with soft blonde highlights."

Dogs, and falls for a stray named Angel (played by Alyssa),
who the Junkyard Dogs' leader (Chazz Palminteri) also has his
eyes on. Scamp also features the voices of Jodi
