The Imperial island was hot, very hot, it was rather quickly apparent as to why the Imperials don't wear armour too often.

Amazingly, given the Imperial's usual views on mercenaries, all the main groups were invited to the island on the proviso that should the need arise we would be working for them.

Everyone was taking time to regroup and plan after the losses in Albion. There was still a lot of shock that so much damage had been done in the first encounter with the 'Invaders'.

More information has become available about the invaders. They look a lot like Fir Cruthen. All of them have facial markings. None of them seem to be able to speak normally, they speak some sort of gibberish. Actually they sound a lot like a lot of Fir Cruthen.

There were a lot of attacks and ambushes, especially at night. By a terrible twist of fate all but one of the mercenaries present that had survived the battle in Albion died on the first night. On the second night Yukio of the Draken and her bodyguard died.

The Hei Ravni were very busy all the time due to their connections with the Imperials.

The Imperials seemed rather interested in everyone's views regarding their potential Shogun. In the end the Magistrate was the chosen one though there were hints he intends to control the empire more than the empress expected.
