Day Zero 
Saturday 12th September 1998
For six cars this was the day they made their way to Dover. Two cars from Leeds, one from the Newcastle area, one from Blackpool, one from Stockport and another from the North West. <MORE DETAIL>
Day One
Sunday 13th September 1998 - 463 miles Catch the 6 a.m. Ferry from Dover to Calais (the other 3 cars from the South of England joined us at the port). From Calais we then drove to Mulhouse (France), stopping off at Colombey les deux Eglise to see General De Gaulle's Monument. <MORE DETAIL>

Day Two

Monday 14th September 1998
Rest day at Mulhouse, most of the group paid a visit to the Schlumpf Motor Museum

Day Three

Tuesday 15th September 1998 - 220 miles
Mulhouse to Lake Como in Italy via St Gotthard Pass (Switzerland)

Day Four

Wednesday 16th September 1998 
Rest day at Cadenabbia on Lake Como - a chance to take in the beauty of the Italian Lakes 
and Mountains.

Day Five

Thursday 17th September 1998 - 285 miles
Lake Como to Lido di Jesolo near Venice. Four cars took a slight detour to take in the 
Grand Prix Circuit at Monza.

Day Six

Friday 18th September 1998 
Rest day at Lido. Well I say rest day but as most of us took a trip to Venice, it was merely 
a rest from driving and navigating.

Day Seven

Saturday 19th September 1998 
Complete day of rest at Lido. Relax on the beach or in the pool, or perhaps time to polish 
the cars !

Day Eight

Sunday 20th September 1998 - 130 miles
Lido to Cortina d'Ampezzo in convoy of course, this is what we came for.

Monday 21st September 1998 - 145 miles
Cortina d'Ampezzo to Innsbruck (Austria)

Tuesday 22nd September 1998 - 274 miles
Innsbruck to Heidelberg (Germany)

Day Eleven

Wednesday 23rd September 1998 
Rest day in Heidelberg with four of the cars taking a quick trip to Hockenheim Ring 
(Well why not when you're so close).

Day Twelve

Thursday 24th September 1998 - 104 miles
Heidelberg to Boppard - The Rhein Valley

Day Thirteen

Friday  25th September 1998 - 300 miles
Boppard to Koblenz where we all met at the Deutsche Ecke Monument (where the Mosel meets the Rhine)
for a photo shoot. Then onto Hasselt in Belgium. Three of the cars made a stop at the Nurburg Ring 
and caught the end of the practice laps for the Luxemburg Grand Prix.

Day Fourteen.

Saturday 26th September 1998 - 180 miles
Hasselt back to Calais to catch the 8.45 p.m. ferry back to Dover. One car made a detour to Brugge. 
From Dover the three cars from the South continued home. The remaining six stopped overnight in 
Dover and returned home on Sunday.
