Andy
Griffin is a defender who can play on either flank despite being
right footed. Ruud Gullit was particularly impressed with his
'man of the match performance in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final
victory against Tottenham where he marked David Ginola out of
the game.
He has good pace and enjoys the wing-back position that enables
him to get forward and supplement the attack. 1998/99 was a
good season for Andy that saw him pick up England U-21 caps
as well as an appearance in the FA Cup Final.
Andy has put in some exceptional performances in the Champions
League and scored the winner against at home to Juventus.
