Robbie
Elliot ended his 4-year exile from the North East when he rejoined
Newcastle United in the summer of 2001 on a free transfer. Having
begun his career at St. James' Park as a trainee, it seemed
the natural progression to return at a point in which he was
hitting the best form of his life.
Having helped guide Bolton back in to the big time, Elliot decided
he could not ignore Bobby Robson's appeal to come back to the
North East and hopes to repeat his success at the Reebok Stadium
by showing Newcastle fans he has developed into the excellent
player he always promised in his first spell at St. James' Park.
Currently out of favour and finding it hard to feature in Newcastles
first team with the inform capabilities of Olivier Bernard and/or
Aaron Hughes, Elliott is currently in the reserves.
