Hibernian keeper Tony Caig was a deadline day addition to
the St James' Park squad during the January 03 transfer window.
He joined Hib's on a free transfer from the Valley 18 months
ago, however he was unable to hold the number one, and welcomed
Newcastles initial interest in October 2002 when he trained
with the squad for a week while Robson had a look at him.
Robson swooped to snap up Caig, whose two-year contract at
Hibs was due to expire at the end of the season, just hours
ahead of the transfer window deadline.
Caig will be hoping to take any chances he may be given as
he has struggled to prove himself so far at the highest level,
making only two first team appearences during his time at
the Charlton.
