What is the Bridgeway Project?
We are an assessment and therapeutic resource for children, young people and their families whose lives have been affected by abuse. For example:
 A child who has experienced sexual abuse.
 A suspicion a child has been abused due to their sexualised behaviour.
 A child who has been witness to any abusive behaviour.
 A child who has displayed sexually harmful and abusive behaviour.
 A parent or carer whose child has experienced sexual abuse.
 A parent or carer whose child has displayed sexually harmful and abusive behaviours

Who are we?
We are a multi-disciplinary team with Social Work, Nursery Nursing and Play Therapy Qualifications, and all practitioners possess a counselling qualification.

What services do we provide?
 One- to-one individual counselling sessions for children, young people and parents/carers.
 Family and sibling sessions.
 Play therapy sessions for the very young children.
 Assessment and intervention programme for young people who display sexually harmful and abusive behaviours.
 Court preparation sessions to prepare children for the witness experience.
 Consultation service to other professionals.
 Training on aspects of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
 Group work
