SALSA DANCING WITH ESPIRITU LATINO
Part of Gentle Relaxation

Dance is an art that can unite, uplift, inspire, and heal. Dance is the hidden language of the soul - Martha Graham

If you are new to dance, especially the Latin Street Dances, you need to adhere to one of the most important rules - have fun! While knowing and understanding the technicalities of dance is useful, developing an instinct for the dance is much more important. Some people call it feel. It is from this feel that you will find the correct timing for the music you are dancing to. This is our main aim, to teach you the real Latin dancing, to teach you to feel the music and connect to this vibrant and contagious beat.

The reason the Latin Dances are normally referred to as street dances is because for a greater part they are improvised, they are not meant to have rigid formality. The origins of Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Salsa or even Samba and Merengue, come from dancers who improvised steps and methods to match the music. Sixty or so years ago, one of the dances they started with was the Rumba, speeded up it became the Mambo and faster still it became the Salsa.

We will help you raise your spirits to a natural high, liberate your body and mind, enabling you to understand how you can get the most out of this beautiful music, making you laugh and realising how wonderful you all are.

Latin Dance is a very strong tool for boosting confidence and promoting success through a positive attitude. It is more than teaching steps or learning how to dance, it is teaching about taking small steps, like in real live, to accomplish our goals. If you have never taken to the dance floor and believe yourself to have two left feet we can transform you - are you up for the challenge - we are.

You are now ready to be part of the Latin Experience.

So put on your dancing shoes y a bailar!

We do this because we love it.
