Tokyo Hy-Power
HT-200 HF/6m QRP Rig
Updated 3.9.06

Launched at a recent ham fair in Japan, this is a prototype QRP HF and 6m rig from Tokyo Hy-power, more famous for their HF and VHF linear amplifiers.

It looks like this is a prototype to test the market? Could be a useful QRP rig if the price is right.

Specs (in Japanese!)

Tokyo HP produced a series of basic single band HF transceivers in the 1990s and this looks to be a new venture for the company.

At first sight the rig looks simple and basic offering few of the bells and whistles of the more up-market QRP rigs such as the FT817 and the IC703. Its lack of complexity may well appeal to many.
