Text Box: WARMASTER

“A game of toy soldiers played by grown men who should know better”

Text Box: This site is about Warmaster—a game I designed for Games Workshop in 2000—and variations of the same including The Battle of Five Armies in 2004 and Warmaster Ancients as published by Warhammer Historical Wargames in 2005.
You can navigate to the main sections of the site via the links to the left or in the text below—and I have added links to what are likely to be the most useful sections under the ‘Shortcuts’ side-bar on the left.
The What’s New page is where I just log additions to the site as they are completed. You can check out if there’s anything new here. I’ll also add significant updates onto this page under ‘News’.
Introducing Warmaster is my attempt to explain what the Warmaster game is about—it’s a bit of a work in progress at the moment.
Warmaster Projects is the index page for content including the new army lists, galleries, reports about events and some snapshots of whatever I happen to be working on at the moment.
Warmaster Links are links to other and on-the-whole far better organized, written and ran Warmaster web-sites than this one.

Dane and Murray will be running the Warmaster campaign as last time and imagine it will the usual sorry story of near fatal hangovers on the Sunday morning. Why do the dice have to be … sooo loud?

When not painting 10mm armies and chasing chickens I have been building up my collection of Mighty Empires tiles in preparation for the Warhammer Historical Wargames ‘Age of Four Emperors’ campaign.

You can read my Empire Building article about painting and modelling the ME tiles on the GW web-site here.

Thanks to the gallant efforts of Tim Haslam and Phil Stirpe the May Campaign Weekend is back on. Details.

Apparently the web-site is brand spanking new and the paint’s still a bit wet— if you don’t get through first time try again later … but don’t mail me as it’s not my fault honest!

It’s that time of year again when every self-respecting wargamer (and the rest) make their way down to The Smoke to partake in the South London Warlords’ annual shindig.

I have promised to be there helping Warlord games and Perry Miniatures out with their display game for the forthcoming Black Powder wargame.   I hope to meet up with the usual suspects and blag a few beers. Hope to see you there.  More about Salute. Here
