To a work in progress! Not
simply a web site in development (which this is) but a work among people,
for a view to the future of this faith community.
Why say faith community and not simply church? Well, there is a place
for everyone with no faith, little faith, much faith, certain and uncertain
faith! King Street is already a diverse and accepting group of many
ages and experience of life for whom the stranger is simply a friend
in waiting. Church can be an alien and forbidding place for many not
in its culture. We seek to explode the myth of church and provide a
place of belonging, friendship and accessible forms of worship.
Our mission statement is “This church exists to worship God and
to bring people to the knowledge of Jesus Christ”.
