I live in Harlow, Essex,
with my husband, Graham. We have a grown up son,
Neil, daughter Tanja and four young grandsons, Sam,
Joe, Joshua and Daniel.
I was born in Croatia,
ex Jugoslavia, came to England
at 16, completed my education and, after other jobs, qualified as
a Secondary school teacher in my forties. I taught Commerce, English,
Drama and German.
Despite a massive stroke at 48, I was back in the classroom two years
later and taught on supply for very many years.
Although retired, I am very busy writing articles and poetry. I was also very much involved in
voluntary work, helping to raise money for the British Disabled Ski team
, for whose benefit I am hoping to publish "NO SUMMIT TOO HIGH", a
book of advice from famous people in the world of sport, politics, films,
TV, visitors to the London Ski Show and the Royal Family, on which I'm
currently working. I am, therefore,
looking for a publisher or sponsor for this.
Other work in progress is a book of
graffiti and a life into fiction novel.
I have had several articles and poems published in various
magazines, newspapers and anthologies in this country, Rumania, Croatia
and America
and have won poetry prizes in Writers' Forum magazine and in a
National Haiku competition.
