Most of the funds are now collected so there will be a presentation to the
MacMillans Cancer Support on Saturday 21st November at approximately 5.00pm at
The Exhibition Inn. Hopefully a representative from MacMillans will be attending
to collect the cheque and please feel free to attend. There will be a buffet on
the day as a way of thank to all who made a valiant effort to raise nearly
£6,000 - final figure to be announced on the day.
Also the annual Christmas Dinner has been booked in the Exhibition Inn for
12th December at 7.00 for 7.30pm and the cost will be approximately £24 but
will include a bottle of wine between two and a 3 course meal. If you are

GOLF DAY AT CROMWELL GOLF CLUB - A BIG SUCCESS
Thanks to all our sponsors, volunteers,
teams and organisers for making this event such a big success. Although it
started with a torrential downpour - spirits were high. The above total also
includes monies raised by The Exhibition Fun Run held in June. Last year we
raised £4,988.38. As last year we would like to thank our major Sponsors,
McNicholas (now called Skanska), Metronet and Ace Cabs. In addition to the
above we had a number of individuals and other organisations who contributed
to the sponsorship and fundraising (Full List - please click).

Founded in April 1997, the Society has grown to
substantial number of paid-up
Members (although it varies from year to year). It's aim is to provide
opportunities to play friendly, competitive golf, for newcomers to the game as
well as experienced golfers. There is at least one event per month, the day
varies to cater for all Members' needs.
After the event we usually meet in The Exhibition for
refreshments, presentations and after the match post-mortems. An annual
subsidised golf weekend is arranged for Members. We always welcome new Members,
so if you fancy becoming a Member and taking part in our functions, please call
Kulbir Singh on 07717 758819. Remember the new year
(for membership purposes) starts on 1st May each year.
