Golf Society tees off for Macmillan
Regulars at the Exhibition Inn and members of the Exhibition
Golf Society in Godmanchester have raised over £8,800 in 2008 for Macmillan
Cancer Support. For the fourth year in a row the Exhibition Inn and The Golf
Society, Godmanchester have raised a fantastic sum of money for Macmillan. The
total raised has risen to well over £30,000. We have been very busy with more fundraising
activities than ever, including a golf day, fun run, race night and a
charity night held at the pub. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved,
in particular our sponsors and volunteer helpers who have made this possible. We
have started our fund raising efforts for this year by organising our Annual
Charity Golf Day. ANNUAL CHARITY OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT SATURDAY
15th AUGUST 2009 BEADLOW
MANOR GOLF CLUB, Nr. SHEFFORD, Beds EVENT
FORMAT: TEAM FOUR BALL STABLEFORD · Full handicap allowance - maximum handicap allowance 24 · Team result based upon best two scores per hole, prizes for Winning Team & Runners-up, Best Individual Player plus many other prizes including Nearest the Pins and Longest Drives. · Individual players are welcome and will be allocated into teams. · Tee-Time 9.00 am (SHOT-GUN START), please arrive at least 45 minutes before tee off. · There will only be a limited number of places available as this a Shot Gun Start · Entry Fees (Teams or individuals need to complete registration) - Team of four players £160, Individual entrants £40 · Includes coffee and bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf and a buffet Charity Raffle lunch.
