Windtalker Real time weather reports online and over the phone from automatic weather stations on top of Tinto Hill (one of the main club sites) and Broughton Heights - a fantastic system set up by LLSC member Stephen Pegler. See Stephen's site to buy a subscription. No more driving to a hill and not flying because of weather.
MeteoBlue Basel University weather model - apparently popular among commercial pilots! Gives you good airmass indication with soundings, wind at various heights, etc.
MWIS Mountain Weather Information Service. Set up mostly for hill walkers, but thanks to Cliff Smith it's excellent for fliers too! Read Southern Uplands forecast for Tinto/Broughton area.
Theyr.Net also known as HALO - used to be very good, map of wind strength and directions, rain and clouds, precise front timing prediction but theyr no longer free except for 14 days free trial.
Metcheck for Biggar (Tinto, Broughton area). 48 hours and 7 days forecast. Also check the "Rest of the year" for annual typical weather periods, and Hobbies section (Aviation, Mountaineering) for better wind and cloud forecasts and sometimes you get CAPE/LI too. Lately MetCheck has been pessimistic about cloud cover.
XC weather Forecasts and live wind info for XC pilots. Wind forecasts often match metcheck.
