Fleetwood Gets underway again in 1946

Transferred to the  Mothball Fleet in August 1945 amongst dozens of others at Hartlepool  but not for long

7th Feb 46  After disarming and a refit in Portsmouth Fleetwood  then became a Radar and Radio Trials ship working for the Admiralty Radar Establishment She was continually changing her radar suite and trying out new technology. She was painted in  two different colours until repainted as U47 (see below) She took part in two Fleet Reviews.  King George VI  1946 and Queen Elizabeth II 1953
