On the largest , wettest, most wind swept
hill in Derbyshire a depleted Redhill had yet another successful day at the
office.
Well done also to our favourite vets Andy
Wetherill and Helen
Burrell for both winning their respective vet sections
in excellent style. .

With the men's team missing a number of runners due to a few
serious injuries (ie Paul Newton, Andy Tarry, Alan
Smith, Steve Humber, Mark Powell) it was almost
certain that this race meant that the Senior Mens
title would not be retained.

The course of one small, one medium, one large and an extra large
lap was perhaps unnecessary disorientation. However it was still a good,
testing course, which felt like the advertised 12K distance.
The men's A
team improved on last years position by four places to finish 10th
overall.
Just as pleasing was the clubs turnout of 20 runners, more than any
other club in the race.

Congratulations to the Ladies team who won the ladies Cross Country
title for the first time since 1993. However in this last race of the series we
saw both the senior men’s and veteran men’s teams loose their titles.
