Changing facilities and toilets - There are changing facilities where indicated on the race field. There are separate ladies and men’s changing facilities each with showers. These facilities are limited and thus to avoid congestion it would help if as many people as possible came ready to run. Men’s and Ladies toilets are available in the changing block on the race field and in the Fire Brigade HQ. Race Number - Your race number must be clearly shown on the front of your vest or tee-shirt. If this becomes detached or lost during the event please let the results recorders know your number as you pass through the finish funnel. Anyone suffering from any form of medical condition should mark a waterproof cross prominently on their race number and indicate on the REVERSE their condition and what medication they take. Late entries - Late entries will be accepted on the day. There is a £1surchage for entries on the day, but all entrants will be eligible for prizes. Late registration is at the Fire Brigade HQ and will be clearly sign-posted. Marshals - The course is well marshalled throughout. If you should get into difficulty during the race please contact the nearest marshal who can assist you. The 10k race - The 10k race will commence at 11.00 am. This will head directly out of the race field and will be nearly all off road, with the majority of the run on woodland tracks through Bestwood Country Park. The race course takes in a number of steep ascents compensated by a few shorter descents, please be careful with your footing. The race will then finish with one circuit of the race field. Please be aware that the park is open to the public, be curtious to them

Fun Run - The Fun Run will commence five minutes after the main 10k race. Competitors will line up behind the main 10k competitors. There will be two fun run courses. A shorter course – 500 meters around the race field – will be used for children under 8 years (small children may be accompanied by an adult). All finishers will receive a goody bag. Finally thanks to the Rangers (Bestwood County Park) and Gedling Borough Council for their support.
