Track Plan

An interesting point to note is that my railway is actually on the site of the old coal sidings at Bolton - So my coal sidings are built on the old coal sidings!

Here’s the track plan for the Lazy Grange Bay Railway. (Click on the image above to see a bigger version).

As you look at the drawing, working anti-clockwise, at the bottom, the bay, then the station area on the right, engine shed/coaling stage at the top by the canal, just below that, the maintenance siding, under that, to the left, the goods siding, and far left, my pub

I fancy a rack railway across the back of the garden as this is a slope that is the back of the embankment of the mainline to Manchester. This is obviously dependant on gaining planning permission from SWMBO!!

The plan was drawn with the LGB - MTS software (which is downladable for free from the LGB website).

The decking, shed, conservatory, text, etc was added using an additional PC based drawing programme.
