Scenes from an HMI (Her Majesties Inspector - of fire brigades) visit. First shot appears to show a debrief at the end of an exercise. Second, HMI chats to BA (Breathing Apparatus) wearers at what looks to be the end of their particular part.
The HMI's job was to maintain high standards throughout brigades and uniformity of approach. A week of inspection usually ended with a Brigade exercise.
