Preston Park Fire Rally was held at Preston Park, Stockton, on the weekend of 27/28 June 2009. The weather wasn't that good but the appliances were gleaming.
Here we see a collection of Ex Tyne-Wear Fire Brigade appliances on display at the head of a line up.
At the front is a South Shields pump, with an old Tynemouth TL (turntable ladder)- both later became part of Tyne & Wear on amalgamation in 1974.
Other Tyne & Wear and pre-amalgamation appliances were on display which we shall cover in later features.
