Did this TL (Turntable Ladder) rescue a 'Likely Lad'?. The 1976 film "The Likely Lads" was filmed in the North East. At the beginning Bob (Rodney Bewes) is rescued by the Fire Brigade from a church roof - while retrieving a football (!)

The problem is at no time is the registration plate of the TL viewed. Newcastle and Gateshead both had TLs -
