Sunderland 'Central' was the East Division HQ based in the town centre at Dun Cow Street. A 3 Dennis line up with a lone ERF at right. Note the castings on the frontage of fire helmets, crossed axes & fire bucket with lines. These were copied and put on the front of the new station when relocated. Appliance bay openings were a notoriously tight fit, requiring a high degree of reversing skill.
