The Cross House fire was re- enacted to commemorate seventy five years since its occurrence in 1919.
Brigade personnel donned vintage fire kit to re -enact the rescue made by fireman Thomas Brown.
Here we see 'Ian & Tommy' (that's all the info we have) being awarded the Albert Medal in remembrance of Brown.
They wear the brass helmets of the period (see other pics on home page) with felted tunics, together with belts for axes and bobbin lines.
Chief Fire Officer Richard Bull presents the medals.
