A real 'FIRE' Engine - literally! This shot shows an ERF Sunderland appliance in flames as the fire bursts through the front shop window. Location is Hardy's furniture store, Fawcett Street, Sunderland. Nearby can be seen the base of a wooden ladder, the remainder of its length engulfed in flames. October 1972.
