Ninjato The sword of the ninja. As you
can see the blade on the ninjato is straight, the ninjato had
multiple uses. The square tsuba or hand guard could be used to
stand on to look over a wall or it could be used to aid the
ninja in scaling a wall. The scabbard had a point on the bottom
which when removed could hide blinding powder which could be
used to blind an enemy, or the scabbard could be used as a blow
gun , or it could be used as a snorkel for when a ninja had to
hide in water. The sago or cord that was used to fasten the
ninjato to the ninja's back also had different uses, like a
tornique for when the ninja was hurt and had to slow down the
bleeding, or it could be used to tie up an enemy, or to make a
garrot to strangle an enemy. |
| Katana The sword of the samurai. To a
samurai the katana was their soul it had only one use to defend
them and their lord. It was razor sharp and could cut through a
grown man if used correctly. The samurai believe in the code of
bushido which is to face each fight as if it is the last and to
expect death to be the outcome and to fight with honour. |

Shuriken Also known as throwing stars.
These weapons take hundreds of hours of practice to become
proficient in their use and the author of this site can confirm
that this statement is true. |
| Kusuri Gama A chain and sickle weapon.
This weapon takes hours of practice to become proficient in its
use. As you can see it is a steel blade on a wooden handle with
a steel chain with a steel weight on the end, this weapon is
lethal when used correctly. |

Kyoketsa Shoge A chain and sickle
weapon. Again this weapon takes many hours of practice to use
correctly. It is a steel blade with a steel hook coming off from
the main blade, and at the bottom of the handle there is a
length of chain attached to a steel ring.
