Row of Bungalows


This is another example of buildings I see almost every day. Suddenly I was inspired to model one bungalow, and then 2 more followed!
This was quite a quick project, on and off, this took around 12 hours.
No texture is bigger than 256 by 256, though most are 128 by 128 and under.


Back of Buildings


Whist taking photos around Lemmington Spa, The back areas of shops seemed to be more inspiring than anything else!
Learning from my council estate project, I focused on working in more detail and grime to give the impression that
no-one really goes around here. Normal mapping really helped bring out that detail.
No texture is bigger than 128x128. Bar 5, which are 256x256.


Council Estate


One of my more ambitious projects, A council estate with several features including a play area, disused garage,
corner shop and the surrounding neighborhood. For the size and a fair amount of detail that went into to the
model, I think 15653 tris is pretty good. No texture is bigger than 128x128.


The New Zealand Story


After playing Taito Legends, I felt like modeling some of the characters from the classic, The New Zealand Story.
I wanted to keep them simple and low-poly, also all the character textures are made up of diffuse and vertex colours.
This is fairly old work, but its different and I like it, so I've kept it here instead of in the Retro section.


Retrospective



Several pieces of work, mainly from my time at university.
All the pieces have several faults such as humungous texture sizes, awful mesh work or an overuse of triangles.
Don't get me wrong, They look good and I'm happy with the results, but if I was do the work again,
from start to finish, a lot of things would be alot different!
