Urban Community Council

The Cauldwell and Kingsbrook Urban Community Council serves the area of Bedford South of the River Ouse. It has elected and co-opted representatives from both wards.

The UCC was first formed some six years ago, when those serving on it did so for non-political reasons. Unfortunately at the last election another political party sought to change that and have people elected under their political name. Labour members have always served on the UCC, but have stood as individuals, serving the community - not a political party!

Currently there are two members of the Urban Community Council, who are also Labour Party members.
