Installation

Virtual Dub
Download Vdub and unzip the contents to your hard drive.
Moonlight Odio Dekoda V 1.23
Make a folder on your hard drive at C:\Program Files\AC3 OdioDec
Double click Reg.bat to register the codec and its location.
Headac.23a
If the program is a RAR file you need to unpack its contents onto your hard drive. On the download page, make sure you get the DLL's you want, you might as well get them all, in case you will need them in the future, but make sure you get Azid DLL and all the DLL's are placed in Headac.23a own folder.

Virtual Dub
File > Open File

Audio > Direct Steam copy
SAVE WAV

You have now saved out the audio using direct stream copy (as is) Since this is AC3 you now need to rename the file you saved .wav to .ac3

Headac.23a
Again there are many programs that can be used to convert AC3 to WAV, in this guide I have only included one of the most popular, load the .ac3 into Headac for conversion.

Just click the source button and select your .AC3 file, then click the Destination button to select where to store the file. If there are other language streams present, you might also be able to select them. Click start to make the WAV file.


What do you want to do with it now ?

TMPGEnc ?
Video > Browse > Original AVI
Audio > Browse > The new WAV you made

Put it back into the original File ?
Vdub
Video > Direct Stream Copy
Audio > Direct Stream Copy
Audio > WAV Audio > Your new .WAV
SAVE AVI

Want it as MP3 ?
Vdub
Video > Direct Stream Copy
Audio > Full Processing Mode
Audio > Compression > Codec > MP3 > Bitrate > 128kbs ?
