Graham Pryke
Graham Pryke was awarded a leaders award of £1000 for his work in managing the Colts sections at West Mersea. He donated his award to the club for the five week coaching programme which will take place for the Colts in February at Five Lakes Golf Club.











Millie Smith
Millie Smith became the first West Mersea female winner of a Jack Petchey award in November. Throughout the summer she has religously scored for the first and two counties teams, making the club statisticians jobs a whole lot easier. She has also done more than her fare share a tea making duties, and as administered the Jack Petchey awards at West Mersea throughout the summer. She donated her £300 award to the club for the Winter Colts Coaching programme.









Ricky Provan
Fourteen year old Ricky Provan joined the list of Jack petchey winners in October, for his excellent attitude on the field of play (playing with a smile on his face). He also returned excellent match winning bowling figures of 4 for 27 in the friendly with Hatfield Peverel in August. Ricky donated his award to the club for continued coaching in the local primary school during the close season.











Tom Sanderson
Tom Sanderson (pictured right) was awarded a Jack Petchey award in September for his assistance with the coaching of the colts throughout the summer. He has donated his award towards Winter Colts Coaching.











James Rutter
Sixteen year old James Rutter (pictured right) became the latest young player at the beginning of August to be awarded a Jack Petchey Award. He received his award from Club President Richard Russell Grant on the club evening following the Rain Men CC game on 31st August.
James at 16 years and 9 days, became the youngest ever Mersea player to score a senior century, when scoring an unbeaten 106 at Hatfield Peverel on 8th August. He has donated his £300 to the club, which will be used during the winter for Coach Education.









Jack Backhouse
Thirteen year old Jack Backhouse became the second winner of a Jack Petchey award at the beginning of June, when scoring the first half century for the Colts team this season. He had been in good form and his 52 against Great Bromley was his best performance to date. He has donated his £300 to the club towards some new Colts Kit and a Kitbag.










Luke Conway
Luke Conway became the first Mersea player in April to be awarded a Jack Petchey award. Luke has been very busy over the winter period helping his father build sight screens for the club as we start the new season. Luke has donated his £300 to the club towards refurbishment of the outdoor nets.
